Final Exam Information - 2025
Students in 6th grade take final exams in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. These exams count as 5% of the final grade for the course and STUDENTS CANNOT OPT-OUT. Below you will find information regarding each final exam including the date of the exam, format of the exam, and tips to help your child prepare.
If you know that your student will be absent for an exam, please contact the teacher for that subject area to arrange an alternate time to take the exam.
ELA/READING
Date: Friday, June 20, 2025
Format: Multiple Choice and an Essay
Number of Questions: 75
How to Prepare:

MATH
Date: Monday, June 23, 2025
Format: Mutiple Choice, Sorting, Fill in the Blank, Matching, Putting in Order
Number of Questions: 60 (this is subject to change)
How to Prepare:
- Review notes in OneNote
- Complete the optional Castle Learning Review task (100 problems). For every 20 points you earn, 1 point will be added to your final exam score. Final exam score cannot exceed 100 points. A score of 100% will only be given if the final exam is perfect; students cannot earn a 100% using bonus points.
- Links to review games by topic are located under the FINAL EXAM tab in the CONTENT LIBRARY in the OneNote notebook.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Date: Tuesday, June 24, 2025
Format: Multiple Choice
Number of Questions: 50
How to Prepare:
- Review page in OneNote with a list of key people and terms
- Flashcards from throughout the school year
- Final Exam review movies on class web site (link found in the NEEDED folder)
SCIENCE
Date: Wednesday, June 25, 2025
Format: Multiple Choice
Number of Questions: 70 questions
How to Prepare:
- The year has been divided into “chunks”. Each student will be given a review activity for each of these chunks, along with their previous reference packets and unit tests.
